01 The challenge

Our research for Kumon had found what actually drove a family to choose one tutoring provider over another.

The next question was: how do you turn that into a brand a parent trusts, and a campaign engine that keeps performing, market after market, year after year.

02 Inside family life

Inside family life

The family truth

Parents look for an ally in their child's development.

When searching for a tutoring provider, parents look for someone who builds the child their kid is becoming, not just their next grade.

Kumon's own research had found this directly: parents ranked personal support above every other factor in a digital learning tool, even when they said digital learning mattered. A brand only earns a place in that role through closeness, and showing up as human and present as possible.

03 The Famdom response

We built "Learn today to create tomorrow" as a positioning that could flex across markets and formats while always saying the same thing: this is about who your child becomes, not just what they learn this term.

From there, we built the always-on system to carry it: content, campaigns, media and partnerships running continuously throughout the year.

04 What we built

  • Kumon's campaign across a bus shelter poster, social posts and the Kumon Spain Instagram profile
Kumon · Brand and campaign system
  • Brand positioning and visual identity

"Learn today to create tomorrow," a claim and visual system built to travel across markets and languages while staying recognisably Kumon.

  • Always-on content and social management

Ongoing content production and community management, redefining Kumon's social presence.

  • Seasonal and always-on campaigns

An audience activation calendar built around the moments that actually matter to a family's year, back to school, exam season, the summer decision window, reaching parents when the need for support is real.

  • Multi-market influencer campaigns

#StayConnectedwithKC, a back to school influencer campaign run simultaneously across Spain, Germany and Greece, with market-specific creators inside one shared creative idea.

  • Paid media and earned media

Paid campaigns across Google and Meta alongside PR and media partnerships, expanding year over year alongside the brand's own growth.

05 The outcome

Year-over-year growth in enrolments since "Learn today to create tomorrow" launched.

Questions about this case

What did Famdom build for Kumon?
The brand positioning, the visual identity and an always-on campaign engine, all built from Famdom's own research into how European families decide on tutoring. The campaign engine has run and grown every year since 2023, across eight European markets, with the message adapted to each market's maturity and cultural context.
Why did a promise families could trust matter more than reach?
Parents look for an ally in their child's development, not a service. Awareness of Kumon was never the problem; belief was. So the positioning was written as a promise families could trust, and every execution since has had to hold that promise while the campaign reached new markets.
How does Famdom keep a multi-market campaign consistent?
One strategy holds the brand in place while the message flexes per market. Famdom coordinates the territories so the positioning, identity and tone stay the same, and the local teams adapt timing, channels and emphasis to how mature the market is. That is what this case proves: consistency and local relevance are not opposites.
